Who We Are

At the heart of our store is a desire to serve others and bring a little more joy into their lives. We want every person who walks through our doors to feel like they belong here. Whether it’s a kind word, a familiar face, or a handpicked product you can trust, we want to be a constant in your life. A place where people know your name and you always leave feeling better than when you arrived.

What sets us apart is our deep, local roots. We’re proud to handcraft with care, source from nearby farms, and offer items you won’t find in big chain stores, from bulk goods to specialty products made right on our farm. As a certified organic business, we grow and create much of what we offer with the same honesty and intention that built this store from the very beginning.

Our History

Quail Cove Farms began with a handful of sweet potatoes and a whole lot of faith. We started farming back in 1979, and it wasn’t long before we needed a market for our organic produce. That’s how the vision began. Our name, “Quail Cove,” came from the many quail on our land, and our original business—“Jardine and Sons”—was a family affair from the start.

In the early days, we packed potatoes in small 5-pound bags, and from 1984 to 1991, we ran a potato packing operation. After stepping away from that, we launched our delivery business in the early '90s. With all hands on deck, our family delivered fresh produce, frozen foods, grains, flour, eggs, cheese, nuts, and other natural staples, many of which we still proudly sell today.

We officially opened our storefront in 2000. Y2K sparked a surge in demand that helped shape our delivery service, and years later, the challenges of COVID pushed us to adapt, grow, and strengthen. In 2017, we expanded by adding a front retail market space to better serve our community.

Through it all, faith and family have been the cornerstone. We believe God has always directed our steps and provided in every season. All five of our children have worked in the business at one time or another, and that legacy of care continues to guide what we do.

Our Mission

Local, natural food matters to us deeply. It’s not always the easiest route, but it’s the one that aligns with our values. After years of working in the chemical industry and witnessing how food can be altered behind the scenes, we made a commitment to grow organic and be transparent with our customers. That’s what we would want for our own family and that’s what we offer to yours.

Looking ahead, we hope the store continues to stand for the same values it was built on: community, joy, great food, and honest service. We want to be the kind of place that feels like home, no matter how the world changes.
